Press & Media

The biggest surprise is LOLA by the Belgian director Laurent Micheli who broaches the transgender topic in a luminous way, simultaneously trivial and emotional.” “Along the young Mya Bollaers, a true rising star, Benoit Magimel is wonderful. — TELERAMA

A harmonious and sensitive film on transidentity. — LE PARISIEN

Impossible not to react to the sensitivity of the film. — OUEST FRANCE

It’s also the strenght of LOLA to be both political and pleasant to watch. — LE MONDE

Wonderful Benoit Magimel. — LE FIGARO

LOLA recalls the first films of Xavier Dolan. — LE FIGARO

This first film run by sensitivity is above all carried by a magnificent duo: the revelation Mya Bollaers and Benoît Magimel, tearing in father exceeded by the events. — PREMIERE

By entrusting this role to an actress herself trans, Laurent Micheli succeeds in the miracle of which the cinema, be it francophone or Hollywood, is so often incapable: to respect the identity of the transgender people.” “LOLA is a generous and refreshing film. Poignant and fair. Hard and soft. Committed and necessary. — TETU
