Benny is a teenager from a wealthy family. His parents leave him largely to his own devices, and he finds an emotional substitute in the world of video films. Gradually, without the people around him noticing, his values and his sense of reality begin to change. He meets a girl of about his own age and takes her home with him one weekend. The apartment is empty – his parents have gone to the country. What begins as a shy love story ends in a catastrophe: the life of the family can never be the same again.
